It's possible that it has the stamp. My jaguar stem has it and the seller said there was no stamp. I believe Dura Ace uses free bearings.

NJS means that the parts meet the specifications set by the Nihon Jitensha Shinkōkai (Japan Keirin Association), meaning they are certified to be used in Keirin races in Japan. It is not a mark of quality, rather it is a mark of standardization--that it meets NJS requirements. So, for example, two hubs could be exactly the same quality but one may be marked and one not because one has a spoke count that does meet the specified number of spokes. "A common misconception regarding certification is that it is a mark of quality, when in fact it is simply a mark of standardization; parts stamped with the NJS logo have become fashionable in recent years with some Western cyclists." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JKA_Foundation"As a result of the parimutuel gambling that surrounds keirin racing in Japan, a strict system of standards was developed for bicycles and repair tools. There are currently 50 velodromes in operation that hold races where annually over 20 million people attend and place bets amounting to over ¥1.5 trillion($15 billion) .[6] Since so much money is at stake, the Nihon Jitensha Shinkōkai (Japanese Bicycle Association or NJS) - now under the JKA Foundation - requires that all keirin racers in Japan ride and use equipment that meets their standards. All riders use very similar bicycles, so that no rider will have any advantage or disadvantage based on equipment. In addition, all riders must pass strict licensing requirements. Those who wish to race in Japan must attend the Japan Bicycle Racing School where they learn the necessary rules, etiquette, and skills. The school typically accepts only 10% of applicants. Those who pass final examination must still be approved by the Japan Keirin Association.[6] All bicycles and equipment must be built within strict guidelines set by the NJS, by a certified builder using NJS-approved materials. The products are then stamped by NJS and only equipment bearing this stamp may be used. The NJS standard is to ensure that no rider will have any advantage or disadvantage based on equipment and does not necessarily relate to quality or standard of manufacture.[7][8] For example, 36 spoke wheels are allowed but not 32, although 32 spoke wheels are typically lighter, and frames must be built by a very limited number of approved builders. NJS approved equipment often sells for more than comparable equipment because of its specific use, build requirements, and limited manufacturers.[7] Popular manufacturers include Samson, Nitto, Bridgestone, 3Rensho, Shimano, Nagasawa, Panasonic, Hatta, MKS, Kashimax, and Sugino.[citation needed] Because the NJS's main objective is supporting the Japanese cycling market, its bureaucracy is notoriously critical of foreign manufacturers attempting to enter the Japanese market. The Italian cycling equipment manufacturer Campagnolo has, though, received NJS certification.[8]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KeirinHope I didn't thread jack you Rabbi tl;dr you pay extra for the stamp.

All njs hubs are 36 spoke. The 32 we use in the states are not njs.

Dear, Rabbi
I'm a bit confused on seat tube measurements. If I were to be looking for a frame what should I go by, Center-to-top or center-to-center?

6'3" Austin
I just asked Brian, he told me to step up to the 60 and hes seen me ride quite a bit so I guess I'll prob make the jump
I don't really like the pursuit geometry of the histogram Rushing, to far down for me. Granted I haven't ridden it but I just don't think I would be comfortable.

I was thinking about building a bike for racing and such, especially after that drag race. It's either the 2009/10 Vigorelli or Histogram. I believe I can manage the geometry on the Histogram.

The mash does not have true pursuit geometry. It's simply an extended seattube. Get whatever you want, but I think cinellis are overpriced. And as for las vegas shops, only 3 of those frames are available as a complete bikes, so you'd be hard pressed to find a shop in any other city that has one for you to test out.

I do answer. Since the early days of lvfixed ver1, this has always been the question thread. So GTFO with a new thread.
Craig, I will not be doing the procyclery ride. I need to be at work at 3:30am tomorrow. Also, I will not be doing thrasher this week. For reasoning, see above.

Dear, Rabbi
(Something less bike related) Why do you seem pissed as fack all the time? Or maybe it's just me, but you seem to have this look on your face like you want to bludgeon someone with a brick.
Sincerely, Joshua
