finally, a pump that isn't broken and doesn't suck. I have this pump, I like it a lot, it just feels really solid. I replaced my broken Joe Blow with it and like it way better. The only drawback is that you have to screw it on to the valve. On another note, I highly recommend buying pumps at REI. They have a lifetime satisfaction guaranty. Plus, if you are a member you don't even have to save your receipt. So if in 3 or even 30 years the pump dies you can return it and they will refund you the full purchase price of the pump. Just sayin. haha, i also replaced a broken joe blow with it!

Thank you Brian! I was planning on getting 23's which they don't have, you think 25's on the tires? I'm kind of liking this saddle color Brian But I guess if the wheelset is black I better go black saddle.

25's are better for the streets, give more contact with the road, and don't really look any different from 23's. They're especially good if used on those Mavics to protect the investment. They'll feel more supple without adding rolling resistance.

Thomson Elite Road Silver 27.2 Seatpost MKS Sylvan Prime Track Pedals Anyone have a bullhorn suggestion for this?Thomson Elite X2 Stem: 31.8 - Stem 31.8 mm clamp size - must be in silver/chrome I like where this is going.... But my recommendation would be not to put bullhorns on. Do classic Italian drops. since it seems like you have the money (buying campy record and thomson and all) you can afford the 3T aluminum rotundo drops. wayyyyyy classier than bullhorns, IMHO. and yes, pumps from rei are the best. the best pumps around are serfas pumps. smart head design and very sturdy. mine is an older model and therefore full metal.

oh, and DO NOT get the thomson stem in that -17° angle. that is far too aggressive, unless you want to be a pro and race on the track. go with the +/- 10°.
edit: all of this is useless if you have already bought it, but may i also recommend a thomson with setback. if that masi is true track geometry (which i'm not sure of), you don't want to be that far forward over the bb.

Craig, I definitely see your point about the drop in the stem, I'm kind of concerned about that now.
As for the drops, I really hate drops and never use them. Plus this build is getting expensive fast. I may hold off on the wheelset for a month or two to keep the total price spread out a bit.

I called and switched them out. btw Treefort was awesome about it. Thanks for the input Craig I definitely did not need the 17 degree and I'm glad you caught it

Yeah I understand what you mean about the straps, but I have both straps and cages and like how tight straps feel and never get loose. I'll think about it

there's a way to make it so your straps don't get loose.

Get spd pedals and chrome spd shoes. Also get dura ace lockring. After some research it appears that Dura ace won't work with Mavic hubs, or basically any italian brand, or phil woods.
