I was referring to Fixedlove and Craig on taking risks or trying out stuff.
Do you have to use their aero seat post or could you use another with more setback? I was looking at setback seat post and I would get a Ritchey for my next build.

I wanna start trying out more Ritchey stuff. Like that triple bolt crabon one i posted. I also wish my frame fit a 31.6mm seat post. I feel like a baby with a 27.2mm.

Hells yes. That stem was pretty dam kewl. 26.8mm is baby compared to that.

I don't know, most pros have their saddles slammed pretty damn far back on the rails. And moving my bars an inch higher than I'm used to is gonna make any bike feel and respond really differently. Austin and Craig, go put 25mm of spacers under your stem and then talk to me.

Josh, the frame doesn't fit anything but the aero post it was designed for.

Shit man then get the other frame. Clearly you don't want the one with the +2cm head tube, although I don't see a problem with that frame + deeper drop bars.

i just looked up a whole bunch of pros bikes and i didnt see any pushed very far back. most were pretty centered haha and ive never moved my bars up but when i moved them down a little bit i didnt notice any handling difference. if it were like 2 inches i would agree but idk.

What is all of yours opinion on Specilized Toupe, Selle San Marco Zoncolan, San Marco Aspide, Selle Italia SLR, Fizik Arione, or Ritchey comp saddles? I can't decide.

Protip: go to one of the few shops in town that do demo programs with saddles. You can test out a bunch and let your ass decide.

If you test out saddles and decide on one, are you obligated to buy it from them?
|
|
|
Post by rabbi on Feb 15, 2012 11:20:27 GMT -8
You pay a deposit fee to test out the saddles. When you decide on which one you like, the deposit goes towards that saddle. They're not going to loan you a saddle for free if you're not planning on buying one from them. That's bad business.

Jose, what website did you get the bike in question on the porn thread from?

Oh and fixedlove, the saddles are all test-only saddles. You decide on one and you get a brand new in the box saddle.

Yea I went to Broken Spoke about 2wks ago saw they have them in odd colors like pink, green and were marked test only. I figured you would test the saddles on a stationary bike they had there, didn't know they loaned them for you to try on your own bike for a fee of course.

With the tall bikes popping up in our bicycling community I think we really need to get down on some of this:

There was another duck comic where it was just, "Aw, yiss. Motha. Fuckin'. Bread crumbs."
