I rode my bike last night. Wandered towards the west side on Alta Dr. & came across an awesome new trail! The Bonanza Trail parallels the 95 up until Rainbow. Last night was a perfect night for a ride by the way   |

Wish I got them out as a kid when the recovery process would be half the pain and time. They've just been a ticking time bomb since last January, when everything got fucked. Every race I've done except for Mothballs + Poor College Kids, I've been sick. Shit sucks.

You refuse to use stava to track your miles and instead of using the map on you phone you tape directions on your stem. Also that ride has like 5 turns at the most. You really could not remember that?

No, because I've never been east of Boulder Highway. I had no idea of any of the streets down there plus I wanted to avoid Nellis blvd so I made some extra turns. Use my phone for directions? That would mean I would have to take it out of my pocket and read from it while riding, not something I want to do. All I have to do with the paper is glance down. Also, Strava isn't supported on a blackberry so even if I wanted to use it, I couldn't. Furthermore, I've even taken my cateye that tells speed/distance/average off. I feel like I don't even need that. It feels so much better not worrying about that kind of shit on a ride.
Somewhat off topic now, but fuck Strava. Everyone knows its just a dick measuring contest. Who gives a fuck if I beat Jon Trimble or Dustin Dunn up some stupid fucking hill when we're not even racing it? I mean when I go to McGhies ride (when I get the chance), I blow those slow fucks out of the water IRL. And they most likely have their Strava apps on and in their shirt pockets.
