Also private sales don't happen through eai... unless you "know somebody". You have to find a shop that buys from them.

The guy who kind of measured me wrote this: Inseam: 86cm Frame size: 56cm Torso length: 67cm. That really blows.

Bareknuckles fit a size up from what they say. I rode a 54cm (55.5cm tt) bk, and you're shorter than me. But damn, you have long legs. I would go with a 54 with a ~100-110mm stem.

I remember seeing that the TT is a bit longer than ST and that is what I am aiming for. Wish I was taller, though. I already have a Thomson x2 110mm stem!

Rich sold ProCyclery, so now he just owns ProWheelBuilder. Sad face. This sucks bad. There has been several times I have asked for a cog or freewheel that procyclery did not have which they got from prowheelbuilder, i have a feeling selection just went down a lot

I thought about buying a kit, because I'm kind of tired of ruining my shorts and shit. Do jerseys and anything else have to fit tightly? Does having any company or brand jersey matter? I have my eyes on Capo Modena jersey and bib.

I meant to ask whether or not the need to fit tightly or not. I tried on a long sleeve jersey and it was not really tight, but slim. Spiffy.

tight stuff is easier to ride in. but if youre just riding around for fun your jersey doesnt need to be skin tight

scrap the bibs/jersey combo and get a skinsuit. you'll save valuable milliseconds when sprinting to make the light!

As of now I am riding long distances quite often and would like something comfortable. I want to ride and race, though. I don't believe I'll need a skin suit, but I would like long sleeves.

why long sleeves? the jerseys i wear year-round are pretty sheer and in summer they get drenched.

I don't like showing my arms, nor do I like tan lines.

i like my jersey's pretty tight. not like, super compression and suffocating me and shit, but still pretty tight. austin's right, they're easier to ride in than looser fits. they're more comfortable while wearing a bag as well, aka, me whenever i'm commuting.
as far as bibs go: THEY'RE FUCKING BOSS. from an outsider's perspective, they look fucking weird. but i can honestly say that bibs have got to be the most comfortable thing i've ever rode or even moved in. the chamois padding helps a lot as well, although i'm sure some would say that one should HTFU before worrying about padding.
i find myself wearing a bib on every ride, no matter how short. and at every night of polo. sometimes i'll just wear it around the house or to the mall as well. YEAH, I SAID IT.
but seriously, that's how fucking comfortable bibs are.

Dude. Tan Lines. Razor sharp tan lines. They make you faster and look cool as fuck when you're not on a bike. But if it's like that, you can get solar arm sleeves that block the sun and if you get them wet, you'll be cool... As fuck. Also bibs<3 they just feel like a diaper before the first two washes... I treat them as a diaper regardless..

I figure that wearing a bib is extremely comfortable. Probably almost like wearing nothing, but you won't be as cold. I think I'll go to a local shop and try stuff on.

So; cycling clothes: •no skinsuit •no world champ stripes or pro teams •yes fit tight •just get plain shit •bibs or GTFO •short sleeve + uv/solar arm covers or HTFU and show off your tanlines than you EARNED. •take off bibs as soon as you're done riding. fukka bacteria.

Basically what I'm going for. I'm not good enough to wear the pro stuff. I have to win it!
Is Capo Modena plain enough?

Yes. Anything that is not team is plain enough.
Also tan lines, among roadies, are like a badge of honor.
