I agree with REM, Ghabe, etc. I see a lot of people use the BMX pedals and velcro straps and really most of the MASH X Cinelli builds are cliche and far too similar. I do enjoy seeing both bikes of Chas and Hern, Actually used bikes and not just sitting in the garage or used to get groceries.
Also, I'd rather win or earn something like that, than exchange paper for it.
The more I'm on my blog, I keep seeing the same thing. It's kind of getting extremely irritating.
Digging the De Rosa and S-Works. Specialized has some good things.

 tits. Sam, NOOOOOOO. All Mash histograms are cliche and plain ridiculous. Bad for commuting because huge track drops and ridiculous pursuit geometry. Guy obviously doesn't race on it because he rides with cages and i'm pretty sure Mash's aren't even track geo (someone confirm this for me, although I'm pretty sure it's true.) If Mash was really into "mashing" and "tearing it up" through cars, i think they would sell a frame that was centered more towards a sensible geo that fosters comfortable, but fast riding. I honestly just like how they look. I dont care that they haz crazy geo or any of that shit. I like how they look. Which is the point of the bike PORN thread; not to post pictures of the most comfortable and efficient bikes around. |

Mash histograms are jackass, therefore they cannot be decided as porn. A bike can also be porn if its efficiency/user-compliance and comfort is up to par. For example:  To many, this bike may not look as sexy as a McLaren Specialized or Merckx pista, but it is comfortable, gets the job done, and its classy as fuck. - Porn. No offense, but looking through your previous entries on this thread proves that you have hold no clout when deciding what is porn or not. That bike there is downright fugly. Classic, yes. Porn, no. Porn is all about looking good and sexy. Not how well it operates. And if we were to take a poll of the people on this forum as to which bike they consider to be more suited for this thread they would undoubtedly say the Mash does and not the Taiwan commuter. Can we consider bikes that function well to be porn? Yes, but only if they look good while doing it. No guy would jerk off to a picture of some ridiculously fugly woman that also happened to be very smart. They would and do however jerk off all the time to women that are ridiculously hot while being so incredibly stupid they really have no place in society outside of a mental hospital. Is functionality important, yes. No question there; when it comes to real life and what you ride. Are looks more important when we are discussing porn? God yes. So important in fact that i would argue that they are the most important factor when deciding to post a bike in this thread. And are my tastes maybe a bit different than yours or not as refined? Probably. But i am also pretty new to cycling and dont spend hours on end looking at bikes, thinking about bikes, working on bikes, or doing anything with bikes.

The fact that you think that Raleigh is a "Taiwan Commuter" is a testament to your ignorance when it comes to bikes. The "Taiwan Commuter" doesn't just belong in this thread because its comfortable and classy. It's also good looking. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you don't quite know how to differentiate between a good looking bike and a not-so-good-looking bike. i think, as you grow as a cyclist, you'll start changing your opinions and view on what you think is an attractive bike, sam. i was watching the mashsf dvd, and almost all the bikes on there are weird builds. pink veep in the rear, errorspoke/spinergy/tri spoke in the front. that type of build used to be the shit, apparently.   but look at those riders now.   |

I like the Low frames because they are made here in America and I like the over sized tubing.
But, I am getting kind of annoyed on how many bikes come out to try and look like pursuit bikes.
