Sure is. The dude bought this thing as a cat5 track racer. Also had a custom frame built for track racing and stopped using it.

It's still jackass. And they make custom carbon frames? Wouldn't that mean they would have to design/cast a mold for each custom frame? That's seems like an incredible amount of money.

Its ja because bought it for cat 5, mavic io wheelset is for indoor track only and he races outdoor, and strapes on his pedals are lulz. Also that is not the custom frame. The custom would have been steel or alu. Calfee make custom carbon but its tubes and lugs not molded.

wheelset makes sense, didn't know the owner only raced outdoor.
but i thought straps on pedals was popular with track racing.
clipless + straps = hella retention, aka: never ever accidentally clipping out.
i thought i've seen other people doing this.

Clips+straps are used by extremely strong gentlemen for better foot retention. So no, clips+straps are not jackass.... for actual racers. A cat 5? Not necessary. I'm 95% sure that any cat 5 or cat 4 track racer doesn't need that.
And crabon saddle? GTFO.

Ya any one that's a 4 or 5 with straps is an idiot. Especially with shimano. You can turn those up soo high you will never get your foot out.
