Has anyone here tried home brewing beer? I have recently become very intrigued with the idea.

no, but I've been wanting to try home brewing my own soda. someone I know here who recently moved to Duluth used to brew beer quite a bit from his basement. I love the idea of it

Yeah I've done it before. It takes a long time but it's fun and way cheaper than buying it, especially if you're brewing like a Chimay clone. If you keg it it saves a ton of time over bottling.
Check out Austin home brew.

I actually got it from them from their storefront when I lived in Austin. My sister's husband also got their equipment, and my dad got it from their website

When you brewed, did you use extracts or full grains?

Yeah, I know someone with one of those machines and it is pretty cool. You can also carbonate things like juices with dry ice pretty well. Also works on fruit.
