You should be able to slam your stem comfortably because of compact bars (small drop). I still have to cut my steerer tube too. We're related when it comes to using cheap pedals. Haha. Mine are from Nashbar. Never gave me any problems.

pro race3s are SUPER easy to get on my rims. frighteningly easy. the engineers at michelin must have understood how often you'd be fixing flats on the side of the road and wanted to help everyone who is unfortunate enough to have buy these tires out.
gp4000s or bust. too bad i have to wear these tires out more before i feel okay about buying new ones.

Nixk, I have ridden pro races. I got around 1000mi on them and they were totally shot. That's less than 5 weeks of riding for over $100 worth of rubber. As race-only tires, they're pretty swell, but only if the surface is smooth as glass without debris. There's a reason they're called pro races.
And, to sum it up, I do have a negative fucking attitude about everything.

Only got 1 flat on mine and there were down to the threads. Still plan on racing on them.
Maybe the fact that the were aged like 2 years then used again made them harder?
Also ya... NOT A TRAINING TIRE.

also, ive ridden contis forever. they are just okay. not amazing not terrible. ive never ridden pro race 3s though

I rode pro 3s for 2 miles completely flat and they were fine. Didn't even puncture the tubes.
But I have some silver Conti's in my closet that I'm waiting to throw on.
I dont know why, but I dont feel cornering confidence with pro 3's
