We are heading out of Pro Cyclery around 6pm tomorrow for a ride downtown and down the strip. We will be keeping a moderate pace (13-17mph) as we cruise on this scenic, fun ride. Lights are a must and a helmet is a plus. See you there!

Yes, lights are a must. It's illegal to ride at night in las vegas without front and rear lights. And ProCyclery is located on the northwest corner of Charleston and Antelope (west of Rainbow).
Craig, Erik manages the profile.

Yes, lights are a must. It's illegal to ride at night in las vegas without front and rear lights. And ProCyclery is located on the northwest corner of Charleston and Antelope (west of Rainbow). Craig, Erik manages the profile. I would definitely have both a front and rear but I thought you only had to have a front light and rear reflector? Is there a city ordinance or something that requires a rear? NRS 484B.783 Lamps, reflectors and brakes required on bicycles and electric bicycles. 1. Every bicycle or electric bicycle when in use at night must be equipped with: (a) A lamp on the front which emits a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front; (b) A red reflector on the rear of a type approved by the Department which must be visible from 50 feet to 300 feet to the rear when directly in front of lawful lower beams of headlamps on a motor vehicle; and (c) Reflective material of a sufficient size and reflectivity to be visible from both sides of the bicycle for 600 feet when directly in front of the lawful lower beams of the headlamps of a motor vehicle, or in lieu of such material, a lighted lamp visible from both sides from a distance of at least 500 feet. 2. Every bicycle or electric bicycle must be equipped with a brake which will enable the operator to make the wheels skid on dry, level, clean pavement

reflectors are only visible under direct light from a short distance. lights are the only real safe way.

I totally agree, but I was just wondering if you are legally required to have one. The post above said you were legally required to which I didn't think you were so I just wanted to clarify for my own curiousity. I ride with one and would always have one on my bike at night, drivers in vegas are already dangerous enough around cyclists to which my hand can attest.

bike polo wednesday
I really wasn't trying to argue or flame or anything, I just was wondering when I saw the comment if there was a city ordinance or something I didn't know about.
