it's cool to see that there are riders spread out all over las vegas. however, it has come to my attention that one side of town thinks it's more superior than the other sides (hahahaha). and now a way to settle that. a team-oriented alleycat race consisting of the most qualified representatives from each side of town. keep it fixed.
 friday, august 26th (sorry kody).
registration begins at 6 @ tbd (somewhere central, i'm sure)
race at 7:00fixed only. teams of 3 (three). $20 a team (or $6.666667 a person).
helmets and brakes are suggested. in a competitive setting, it's always a good idea to play it safe, but whatever. it's not gonna be crazy downhills like 3 amigos or hollywood hills, so that's why i'm not strongly enforcing/encouraging.west side - summerlin, spring valley. russell to cheyenne west of the 15. vs east side - sunset manor/hollywood, anything east of boulder highway vs north side - north las vegas, nellis, lone mountain, basically anything NORTH of cheyenne and west of aliante vs south side - russell to as far south as you can go and west of eastern. vs central/midtown - unlv, downtown. from russell to alta between boulder hwy and the 15. vs Henderson - well, henderson now these are just general areas, if you feel that you would better represent a side of town in which you don't reside, feel free to. now yes. a relay style race.
a member from each team will fill a certain role for the race.
those roles (with an idea of the task at each checkpoint) being:
Climbing-Cargo (you would benefit in racing with a bag in this leg of the alleycat)
Distance-Mechanical
Sprinting-Sprintingcomments? questions? concerns? ghabe, i added some are info

I feel that me and Rabbi both represent the unlv area. This is going to be a sort of one sided race if that is the case. How many members per team? Who decides who is "qualified" to rep that area?

In to it. But Ghabe, I think you should make a central area team spot. and i think 2 or 3 teammates for each team.
Oh and Ghabe, late August is when everyone has already left for college. You should do this late july or early aug.

yeah, you guys are right. paradise/unlv is more central.
3 per team
and there can be more than one team representing an area ( if there's more than 3 from that area that want to race).

Well I always ride solo... I don't rep any section of Vegas not ride with a certain click... I only know about 3-4 riders...

Fixed love, there can be more than one team per part of town: no qualifiers necessary. Just get 2 friends and you're good to go.

You brian and whatever other girl you can ride with have nothin on the uc son! We have riders on reserve. Me, Nathan, Jenner, Gabe, Tyler, Josh will most likely rep UC sense he is always down there lol.
