I know he means head tube..... I'm just trying to point out the idiocy of calling it a "front tube". I mean.... You guys do ride bikes right? Sorry, I am not too familiar with bicycle terminology, but at least I know what I'm doing with my life.

Just because someone rides a bike doesn't mean they know EVERY single part of the bike.

Ugh.... just call a front tube then.... I've lost. BTW What are you doing with your life? Just out of intrest? Eh... As of now, finishing my Associates degree, then it's off to earning a Bachelors degree with Music Emphasis, then a master in Library Science. I want to be able to compose my own music and be able to sit in a library and make bank.

REM, get out there and be on top of the world. If that lame Rebecca Black girl can do it, so can you.
At first I just wanted to get a regular Associates degree, because I had absolutely no clue as to what I wanted to do. I don't believe there are many jobs in the Philosophy category.

Craig, just know that any time you need housing or cable, just swing by the shop and it's yours. ANY TIME. Unless you start coming 5 times a week.. Then you will be limited to pink or neon yellow housing, three inches at a time.

Would you be able to order in the correct spokes, maybe rim, too? I've a hub I want to use and a rim in mind.

Post by rabbi on May 17, 2011 21:33:27 GMT -8
um, you get me the stuff and i'll build the wheel.

Swing by the shop with your hub and rim and I'll cut you a deal on some spokes and nips. Still recommend Nathan for the build though, tis hells of cheap.
I'll order you a rim in advance too. What rim?

Post by rabbi on May 17, 2011 22:03:09 GMT -8
and let me know the rim/hub/lacing pattern and i'll let you know what size spokes.

Is it possible to reuse the spokes that the rim already has or is it better to get new spokes?
|
|
|
Post by brianburke on May 18, 2011 11:46:59 GMT -8
Depends on the age and the condition of the spokes. Fresh spokes with usually hold a true better, but you can always use a spoke thread compound on old ones.
