The only seat post that I found that was 26.8mm is a Thomson and it is a setback.

Lollin, man I can't find a seatpost and I don't want to get a Thomson setback. I'm only afraid of breaking the saddle otherwise, I'd live I feel your pain, I'm also having a hard time finding a 26.8 seatpost. Mainly because I want a carbon one.

It is hard to find that size, but it's not really recommended to use a carbon seatpost on a steel frame. Although, if you had an aluminum frame, it would be recommended.

Where are you guys looking that you can only find thomson posts in 26.8mm? There are plenty of manufacturers who make them still. And plenty of old ones on ebay.
I Just searched ebay and right away, 123 items popped up.
And you probably won't find a carbon post in 26.8.
And who ever said it wasn't recommended to put a carbon post in a steel frame?

Wouldn't a carbon post make a steel frame ride more comfortably? At least that what I thought and having that sexy ass carbon weave make them boxers drop! Lol

steel doesn't tend to be that harsh of a ride to begin with. not like an aluminum frame w/ thin tubes.

Swapping my steel fork with carbon made a significantly smoother ride, I'm thinking the same goes with my seat post. Nevertheless I can't find a carbon post for the life of me :/

Steel feels like full suspension compared to my road bike.

A setback seat post that is 26.8mm seems hard to find. I saw one setback and that was the only one I saw that was 26.8. I know that there are many seat posts that are 26.8mm, but I'm not looking.
I believe you had said that it's not recommended on steel, but aluminum, Rabbi. I asked about it, but received no reply. I'll have to look back at the thread.
Rabbi, is right that you probably won't find a carbon seat post that size.

Correct that, you said you wouldn't spend money on carbon seat post for a steel frame.

If you need a carbon seatpost on a steel frame to smooth out the ride, your ride is probably set up pretty poorly. Saddle probably way too far forward and too high, I'm guessing.
And josh, I did say I wouldn't spend the money because you're already riding a steel frame.
Just get a thomson and be done with it.

Meh. Kids be dumb. Easier to go through life ignoring them than to make it a vendetta to help them all the time.
