Very nice my friend! A couple of questions, though. Are you still using the headset that came with the bike? Also, specs on front wheel?

Bike update: Put a Ritte sticker for chain-slap on my chainstay. YES, THIS IS IMPORTANT.

I AGREE. EVERYONE SHOULD FOLLOW THE GUIDELINE BIKES THAT ARE POSTED ON POPULAR BLOGS LIKE TRACKO AND PROLLY. TARCK BIEKS ARE ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH CLIPLESS OR CLIPS. NO PLATFORM STRAPS. ESPECIALLY NOT IF THE PERSON USING THE BIKE THINKS THAT THE PLATFORMS ARE MOAR CONFORTABLE. FUCK WHAT THAT INDIVIDUAL PERSONALLY THINKS AND FEELS. FOLLOW THE DAMN "RULES." but seriously though, i don't think so. if he's the one riding it, i think he gets to be the one to choose the pedals and foot retention. it may not necessarily be the norm to use platforms/holdfasts on a track bike, but if it feels comfortable for him, then awesome. he didn't build the bike to impress people, he built the bike so he could ride it.

Careful Ghabe. This is thoughtcrime. Every day you need to recite the rulesChris put his bike up on the site which means it is open to criticism and comment. Rushing just did what this website is meant to facilitate.

WINNING!
But Ghabe has a point. It is his bike and there are not set rules for what you do with it. I find those type of pedals strange. Because of toe overlap. Also, stopping does not seem easy.

I know that it is going to less comfortable and functional on a cummuter then a more relaxed bar height.
