+1 the aquabats have been pissing me off recently. COME TO FUCKING VEGAS ALREADY, GUYS. FEEL THE WRATH OF MISSION CODENAME APPLESAUCE. That is honestly my least favorite song by them, every song is superior. @nikki They did come here very often. It was crazy, man. also @nikki Yeah many a show I had to pass in my high school days due to age restrictions. I think it kind of turned me off of the whole idea of concerts. +1 for streetlight, fuck everything else. I'm making it. |

i think it's been a pretty alright year,

It's not stupid for shimano to make ultegra di2. It's actually pretty smart to ring in the people who want electric in a bike around the $4000-4500 range. You don't typically see dura ace di2 below $6500.
Yeah, ultegra di2 isn't supposed to shift as fast as it's older, more experienced brother. But it's also not really being marketed to racers that need those quick shifts.

It's $1000 more than an ultegra bike of the same range. A mid-level carbon bike with ultegra retails around $3000-3500. That's just the way it is.
FWIW, I think the diff b/w mechanical dura ace and its electronic version is about $1500-1700 on a similar spec'd bike.

If I had the money and the choice, I would stick with mechanical. Still don't trust this electric stuff. I mean, when robots become self aware and start killing people, I want to be able to get away on my bike, not have my bike kill me.
