tomorrow I have to do a dumb persuasive elevator pitch and I had no idea what to do until I thought of helmets and bikes. "why people should wear helmets when they ride bikes" genius. I might wing it ;D  ) :ooooo |

haha, you can lead me to a million different stories/videos/etc with opinions on why you shouldn't wear helmets. I will still think the idea is dumb.

haha, you can lead me to a million different stories/videos/etc with opinions on why you shouldn't wear helmets. I will still think the idea is dumb. Yeah, I'm not really arguing against helmets, though I don't wear one, I just posted that as an alternate argument that might help you in your project if you haven't done it yet |

yeah, I figured. I've been reading up on a few arguments against wearing them. None of them outweigh the benefit of wearing a helmet if you hit your head on the ground. thanks though, brrrrooooooo

Anyone looking for a cheap taller bike, saw this on craigslist, looks like it just needs a crank set and chain (and maybe a rear hub, not sure from picture) $100 Weren't you looking for something for someone dave - 63cm lasvegas.craigslist.org/bik/2362617486.html |

anyone have an extra 50-51cm bike I can borrow for a few days at the end of the month? I'll be in Vegas the 27th until the 2nd and don't want to be driving around all the time. that's boring and I'd appreciate it:)

So yesterday I rode my new conversion to the store. There is only one place to lock up bikes, imagine an upside down U shaped pole. An older lady was there locking her rather nice looking Jamis to it. I pulled up, said hi to her as a fellow cyclist, and moved to lock my bike to the other side. She looked at my bike in apparent disgust (I'm not sure if it was because it was a fixed gear or because she didn't want me locking my bike to the other side of the pole) then walked away without a word.
Come on fellow cyclists, where's the love?

Right, she even had on one of those orange and yellow reflective vests that construction workers wear, if only i had one of those maybe I could have hung. Funny thing though, I was waiting for Roberto's when she left, totally passed her on the way home, worth it. |

get a bike box and take off the bars/stem, pedals, front wheel, and saddle. ziptie stuff together, cover all the frame and fork tubes with bubble wrap, deflate your tires, and be prepared to spend $$$$ to get it on a plane. as much as $150 each way depending on the airline.
