this off topic - general discussion separation is annoying and lame and really brings the "fun" out of the board. i live on message boards when im on the internet so i know what im talking about and its just annoying.

can we have better categories if were going to make a weirdo off-topic section. at least have something cool. i think the old lvfixed board was super creative with that but didnt separate typical "general discussion" in a "off topic" section.

im just seyin'. probably why people barely post here.

can this be the "suggestions for the board" thread or something... can we do that?

also why cant i put a picture for my signature?
can we have better emoticons?

Separating the threads into subcategories was a subject of discussion in the staff board some time ago, and I've still yet to decide if it actually benefits the forum. From this point, though, I think it is working in terms of organization. In any forum, the general forum is the most popular.

I think the reason that not many people post in the Off-Topic, or any board for that reason, is because of a lack of posters. We have an average of 20-25 online members a day but only about 5 repeatedly post. I'm not sure why they don't post, but they just don't. I don't see how you would think forum separation would keep people from posting, though.

And you can't put a picture in your signature for a reason. We don't want this board to start looking like a Harry Potter role playing forum where everyone has giant pictures in their signatures. That slows page loading and makes the forum look fucking stupid, IMHO.
