the prices may not be exactly what you are seeing out there for a few reasons: 1. I used the msrp from the manufacturers website but you are looking at a cheaper price on a different website 2. the manufacturer did not have a msrp on the website and I found the "msrp" on a different website which may be incorrect 3. I could not find an msrp or "msrp" but found a price somewhere and kind of assumed
If you find an msrp that is different than something listed here please please post it so that I can change it
Also, I am really glad you found this helpful, it takes a lot of time to keep up and I will only keep doing it if it is actually accomplishing something

Also, the link for to purchase the Colnago bikes does not work anymore, apparently that company is no longer selling them, but I kept them up so that people can see them.
I also got tired of listing the LBSs on the new bikes I added, you can do the research and figure out whether they are being sold locally, it was just taking more time

So I know Sids has put this awesome list together, but I just want some advice from any one for what bike to buy for around 300. Im going to race on it with single speed, and use the fixed side when im just cruisin. Im aiming towards the Windsor Clockwork. Any suggestions/advice.

I dig the Kilo TT. Pro or no pro, they are both similar.

Kilo's are a bit over 300 but are definitely worth it! Great geometry and great bike... Kinda miss mine :/

Both bikes are sold out on bikes direct, what the hell! Any bike shops in town that sell fixed gears? Or any other bikes I should look at online. I'll probably spend 350

You could also get an SE, citygrounds has some on sale right now around the $350 range, comes with free kryptonite lock and cable. I can't really comment on them though as I've never ridden them, ghabe has one maybe he can chime in.
Of if you already have some components citygrounds also has Leader frames on sale (I know boooo) starting at $150 and framesets for $220, and a pake rumrunner frameset (53 cm, I dont know how tall you are) for $180

I suggest you swap out the stock wheels unless they have sealed bearings. Maybe the saddle as well, but saddles are personal preference to your arse. Pedals are wide enough, but the strap may not do you justice. Maybe a swap of the chain after 5 weeks or so. Probably farther down the road you may want to get a better crank set.
I think that is all you'll need to change. I ended up changing a lot of the parts over time and then using them for a better bike later.

Yeah I'm actually thinking about buying another bike from a friend and using it for parts. I gotta figure out what he has on his. But thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely change those out in the near future. I want to buy deep v rims, but not sure hat a good price on those are because I'm new to fixed gears

Deep V are pretty strong and common. I'd like some silver Deep V's.

generally the first things to change out are contact points. things to make the bike most comftortable to you. replacing a wheelset right off the bat even if its loose ball is retarded. as long as its true and maintained it wont give you a problem. Focus on pedals, saddle and bars. only replace whats necessary at first....
